2.免費絕育只提供予仍在街上生活(放養/流浪）的貓狗，以避免過度繁殖。Free desexing surgeries are ONLY offered to animals that are STILL living on the streets (stray and semi-stray) to encounter overpopulation problems.
3.不適用於已被領養，及居住在公屋、居屋或私人樓宇的貓狗。Adopted animals live in public housing, government-subsidized or private properties are not eligible.
4. 動物朋友保留最終批核權利。 Animal Friends reserve the right to final application approval.

從源頭解決流浪動物問題，動物朋友一直堅持為倉地和村落的貓狗絕育，從而改善動物福利。
Aim to solve the root cause of stray animal overpopulation by providing "Neuter and Spay" surgeries to the cats and dogs live in industrial lands and villages, to improve the animal welfare as a result.
香港的放養貓狗

普遍集中新界地區的倉地和村落，由商户和村民飼養，目的是治老鼠和看門口，這些貓狗一般都可自由出入，因而稱為”放養”。

絕大多數放養動物都得不到適當的待遇，吃的是冷飯菜汁，盛水的盤也生滿青苔，牠們只能在垃圾堆尋找食物，但如被綁上或困起，牠們更可能一生捱餓。

大部份放養動物的飼主沒有絕育意識或因金錢問題而沒為牠們絕育，而令牠們不停繁殖，任由這些無辜小生命自生自滅，無助地面對饑餓、病痛、受傷、遺棄、死亡，下場悲慘。僥倖生存下來的再繼續繁殖，令更多生命走上厄運。

In New Territories rural areas, most cats and dogs are kept for pest control and guarding purposes. These animals usually wander around the area, so-called " Semi-stray"

However, most of them are neglected, without proper shelter, adequate food and clean water. Some might be able to find food from rubbish bins. Some might suffer from hunger throughout their lives because they are chained up or caged until they died.

Innocent and helpless puppies and kittens are born in the streets and again they suffer from hunger, illness, injuries, abandonment, or even killed. For those that survive, they continue breeding, and the suffering passes on in generations.

自2010年成立開始，我們走進新界西北地區的倉地和村落，向飼主解釋絕育的重要性勸說他們為貓狗絕育。Since 2010, we proactively reach out to the animal keepers in the New Territories rural areas and arrange for their animals to have desexing surgeries.

至今(2021）已為超過14,500隻貓狗絕育，當中75%為雌性， 若以每年生產10小貓小狗計算，已成功避免了幾十萬多個小生命誕生, 減少悲劇的延續。As of 2021, over 14,500 animals are desexed under our free desexing program, of which 75% are female. Assume these animals give birth to 10 offspring every year, hundreds of thousands of innocent but unwanted puppies and kittens are avoided being born.

向動物飼主灌輸照顧動物的正確方法，讓牠們生命得到應有的尊嚴和減輕牠們的痛苦。Educate keepers to provide basic needs to the animals with proper food and living conditions. Respect the animals' lives.

貓狗約5個月大時已可絕育，絕育除了是最有效和人道方法去控制動物數目外，對動物健康和社區也有不少好處。Cats and dogs reach 5 months old may undergo desexing surgery, which is the most effective and humane method in controlling the population, but also improve the animals' health and community harmony as a result.

雌性貓狗絕育後再沒有發情和懷孕時引起的不安, 也減低罹患生殖器官疾病的機會, 身體會更強壯。雄性貓狗絕育後更專心看門口, 不會出外流連、打交, 減少受傷的機會， 對社區做成的滋擾亦相應減少。Desexed female cats and dogs will no longer have issues caused by heat cycles and pregnancy. Reproductive organ diseases are also being avoided. Desexed male has less tendency to roam and fight with other dogs over mating and territory dominance. Nuisance in the community is diminished in the long term.

However, huge number of cats and dogs live in villages and New Territories rural areas are not kept as pets. Without basic care e.g. food, medical care, safe shelters. Uncontrolled breeding results in abandonment, overpopulation and suffering.

香港動物團體免費絕育途徑 Other animal charities providing free desexing in Hong Kong
除了動物朋友，香港有3個團體也有提供免費絕育, 彼此目標一致，認同絕育是要減少流浪動物的最有效方法。
Besides Animal Friends, there are 3 other animal charities are having the same goal - control the stray animal's population by providing free desexing surgeries.
希望大家可行多一步, 主動幫助身邊的小朋友, 帶牠們去絕育, 不要怕麻煩啊! 每個團體都有不同做法, 請先了解。
We hope you can also help the animals by bringing the animals to have free desexing. Free desexing surgeries offered by charities may differ from each other. Please contact them directly for information. (所有免費絕育不適用於有品種動物, 例如貴婦, 柴犬, 芝娃娃等 FREE desexing surgeries are not eligible to pure breeds animals)
